"Without reservation, I highly recommend Willapa Tree Service. From my initial contact with Tedd Huhta, he has been prompt, responsive and professional in all communications. After receiving 3 bids for removal of a 60+ foot tall 5 maple clump and a 90+ foot fir tree, I hired Willapa Tree Service. Tedd arrived promptly at the agreed upon time - 7AM - on the morning of February 19, 2022 and immediately began working. Tedd was in constant motion from his arrival until his departure around 4 pm. When falling the maple, he took care not to damage any power lines, fencing or flowering plants/shrubs. The fir required extensive climbing and limbing prior to falling. After consultation, the firewood worthy limbs were cleaned and left in a neat pile for me 👍. The smaller limbs and boughs were chipped and hauled away. Clean up was excellent. Tedd brought the trunk of the fir down in 3 pieces - placed perfectly. My husband will be taking care of that wood for personal firewood. In the future, if we should decide to have any of our other huge fir downed, Tedd/Willapa Tree Service will be my first call. They checked it out and offered to do it immediately for a price i thought was fair. They finished up in about an hour and a 1/2 With the tree down and the property cleaned. "A very large cherry tree collapsed onto the house, resting precariously above a sloping side yard that offered limited access. The sizeable trunk had split in half, but the two halves remained suspended in mid-air joined only by deteriorating wood fibers. After several smaller companies assessed the situation, it became apparent that they were uncertain about how to safely and effectively remove the tree. Upon arrival, Tedd Huhta conducted a thorough evaluation, formulated a logical removal strategy, and confidently assured me that his team possessed the specialized equipment necessary for the task, minimizing risk to both the property and landscape—an advantage not evident with other providers. Given the impending rain and concerns about potential roof damage being obscured by branches, Mr. Huhta proactively adjusted his schedule to address our urgent needs. The Willapa Tree Service crew arrived the following morning and professionally executed the removal, methodically and carefully dismantling the tree section by section with impressive surgeon-like precision. Throughout the procedure, each tree branch was either chipped or set aside for future firewood. After the removal of the tree was complete, the workers cut the remaining wood into 16” long lengths and placed them in a neat pile in a previously designated area. "A very large cherry tree collapsed onto the house, resting precariously above a sloping side yard that offered limited access. The sizeable trunk had split in half, but the two halves remained suspended in mid-air joined only by deteriorating wood fibers. After several smaller companies assessed the situation, it became apparent that they were uncertain about how to safely and effectively remove the tree. Upon arrival, Tedd Huhta conducted a thorough evaluation, formulated a logical removal strategy, and confidently assured me that his team possessed the specialized equipment necessary for the task, minimizing risk to both the property and landscape—an advantage not evident with other providers. Given the impending rain and concerns about potential roof damage being obscured by branches, Mr. Huhta proactively adjusted his schedule to address our urgent needs. The Willapa Tree Service crew arrived the following morning and professionally executed the removal, methodically and carefully dismantling the tree section by section with impressive surgeon-like precision. Throughout the procedure, each tree branch was either chipped or set aside for future firewood. After the removal of the tree was complete, the workers cut the remaining wood into 16” long lengths and placed them in a neat pile in a previously designated area. "Talk about perfect timing. 2 days before the winter storm I got an advertisement in my mail box for these guys. Lost a huge tree during the snow, ice and wind. Called of Tedd and told him what happened. He was super friendly on the phone and told me he could come the next morning and take a look at the tree. He was on time and very professional. Had the estimate about 6 hours after his visit and his crew was here the next morning and made quick work of the fallen tree. These guys are amazing!! "Cut down 2 trees for me and trimmed 3. Was a pleasure watching him. He and his crew are slick in how they work. Uses ropes to guide limbs down so they don't dig into your nice lawn. Chipped all the branches and ground up the trunk and roots. Cut trunk into 16 inch firewood lengths. Cleaned up the mess. Will recommend him to anyone who needs tree work done. "Without reservation, I highly recommend Willapa Tree Service. From my initial contact with Tedd Huhta, he has been prompt, responsive and professional in all communications. After receiving 3 bids for removal of a 60+ foot tall 5 maple clump and a 90+ foot fir tree, I hired Willapa Tree Service. Tedd arrived promptly at the agreed upon time - 7AM - on the morning of February 19, 2022 and immediately began working. Tedd was in constant motion from his arrival until his departure around 4 pm. When falling the maple, he took care not to damage any power lines, fencing or flowering plants/shrubs. The fir required extensive climbing and limbing prior to falling. After consultation, the firewood worthy limbs were cleaned and left in a neat pile for me 👍. The smaller limbs and boughs were chipped and hauled away. Clean up was excellent. Tedd brought the trunk of the fir down in 3 pieces - placed perfectly. My husband will be taking care of that wood for personal firewood. In the future, if we should decide to have any of our other huge fir downed, Tedd/Willapa Tree Service will be my first call. Based on my experience, I will highly recommend Tedd Huhta/Willapa Tree Service to anyone I know and to anyone reading this review."
